The ol' SaveOurSailors site has a great review on the classic Sailor Moon trading card game (ccg) and it's gotten me really hyped about it as I never really gave it a chance! Did a search online for a site selling the cards and found them at Amazon.com for just US$12.95 for a 2 player starter deck! I think I'll give it a go!

SailorMoon.org is still going strong.

Live Action Sailor Moon Guide Update

Just added 5 new Acts to the live action Sailor Moon episode guide, Act 8, Act 9, Act 10, Act 11 and Act 12.

In an attempt to improve the episode guide I decided to get my hands on several of the live action Sailor Moon DVDs and redid all of the screencaps in the existing guides. No more clock in the upper right hand corner! Much better don't you think?

I've also added three new live action attacks to the attack guide: Flower Hurricane, Shine Aqua Illusion and Crescent Beam which signal a revamp of the attack guide. I've decided to separate each version of the attacks. For example there are now three pages for Venus' Crescent Beam attack. One for manga, one for anime and one for live action. It looks a LOT neater and easier to navigate.

Enjoy and expect more on a regular basis!

A New Anime Series and Keiko - Sailor Moon Roundup

Quite a few people have known about this for a while (including myself) how Amazon had been selling a bootleg Sailor Stars DVD box set on their site for the past two years or so. It was unprofessional on their part and definitely sent the wrong message to bootleggers and fans everywhere. Anyway, for some reason Amazon has finally removed it from their listing. This was most likely due to all the publicity it got recently with both ANN and Genvid writing articles about it in the past several days.

Keiko Kitagawa who played Sailor Mars (and was the best actress on the live action show in my opinion) has been quite busy here in Japan. A few weeks ago she started advertising a new diet water drink called "Lets" (check out the official site for a full Keiko workout!) and just this week she's scored a gig, starring opposite some of the biggest names in the Japanese entertainment industry in a tv drama style commercial for DoCoMo (Japanese mobile phone company). Check out the whole campaign HERE. Too bad it isn't a real series. It looks really cool!

On a bit of a Keiko buzz, I checked out her blog and found THIS! Looks like her and Ayaka (who played Sailor Venus in the live action Sailor Moon show) are still friends and hang out whenever they can. It's nice to see stars from the same show genuinely being friends.

And now a really cool project that I've come across, Sailor Moon UNIVERSE and fanmade 6th season of the anime! It uses footage from the existing 5 seasons as well as clips from computers games and other sources with a new script to create and all new storyline! The editing is really well done and the opening and closing themes are incredible! Unfortunately their official site is just plain bad and makes finding the files to watch impossible so here are the link you'll need.

Site Cleanup

Am just in the middle of a site clean up this weekend so sorry about the mess. You'll notice that the main menu on the right has been revamped to a nice cleaner look. Am still fiddling with colours. Should the menu be pink? Or maybe blue? We'll see.

In the next few days I'll be splitting up all the attacks. For example the page for Mercury Bubbles Blast will be sub divided into separate pages for the manga, anime and live action versions of the attacks. I just decided that the attack pages look too crowded as they are with everything on the one page.

Sailor Moon Roundup: Sailor Stars English Dub

With the huge Negavision Sailor Stars fandub seemingly out of business, any chance of a good quality English dub of Sailor Stars seemed to have disappeared. This is why this past week I was so thrilled to have found out about a new Sailor Stars English dub in the making over at Fighter4Luv! Not only is he using the masters from the remastered Japanese Region 2 DVDs but he's rendering his own DiC English style opening and transitions!

Word is that the episodes will be up for file download and viewable on YouTube. It's unknown if a DVD release is possible.

Live Action Revamp & Site Review

Completely cleaned up the Live Action Sailor Moon Episode Guide by fixing the spacing around the images to make it look better on the eyes, adding spiffy heading effects and resorting them all into their own subdirectory in preparation for the new episode guides for the series that I'll be starting later this week.

Because of all this the links to the individual live action episode guides have been renamed and moved but the main live action index page is the same to make it easier for those who have bookmarked it or linked to it on your own sites.

Something completely new to the site which you may have noticed is the "Get Paid to Review My Post" buttons after every update on the main page. I was after some site feedback and came across PayPerPost which actually pays people to review my site and thought, "Hey, that's alright!".

All you have to do is click on the button, sign up for your PayPerPost account and write a blog post about Moonkitty.NET and you get paid US$7.50! Not bad, eh?

Sailor Moon Roundup: Agro-vated

Quite a few news items this week! I'm always amazed at how active the Sailor Moon online community is!

First up the always classic, SailorMoon.org has updated with the May Moon Grams. Check it out HERE. Some great content well worth your time!

The huge Sailor Moon website directory, Deep Submerge has added several more sites and updated with a new Site of the Month! Who is it? Check it out and see for yourself.

Genvid has some interesting present day Sailor Moon sightings from people like myself living in Japan.

Another Japanese artist has released a CD with a remix of the Sailor Moon anime song, Otem no Policy HERE.

A kind of oldie. The producer of the Filipino Sailor Moon rip-off has released a comment about the visual resemblance HERE.

“If you find similarities, it is outright coincidental."

Yeah, right. Who's he trying to kid?!?

And now a true treasure I found on YouTube! Footage from Agro's Cartoon Connection that originally aired Sailor Moon in the early 90s in Australia! They had a special Sailor Moon morning where the hosts dressed up in Sailor Moon costumes. Enjoy! Good times. Good times.

Sailor Moon Season One Anime Episode Guide Complete!

Have just uploaded a whopping eight episode guides and you know what that means??? The Season One Episode Guide is complete! All 40 episodes now have guides which include episode summary, screencaps, extra info and DVD shopping info! It's taken me a while to get here (been doing episode guides for my Tsubasa and xxxHolic sites as well) and I'm so happy I made it!

The rest of this week I'll be going through the entire guide and doing proof reading, spell checking, link correcting and funny comment adding to make it the best it can be before completing some more attacks and then picking up the live action Sailor Moon (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon) episode guide once more.

Yeah, I've decided on the live action guide for several reasons; As far as I know not one site has a completed live action guide yet, it's a show not that many people have seen and some people didn't even know there was a live action show to begin with, so it's a necessary and useful project to do methinks.

Sailor Moon Roundup: MoonGrams, Layouts and Podcasts, Oh MY!

Kirari-PGSM.net has a sparkly new layout worth checking out. Very clean and features a great blend of layout and graphic. My wonderful affiliate Innocent-Ami.com also has changed it's layout and it's her best one yet!

SMFanFiction.net has started their very own Sailor Moon fan fiction themed podcast and it's really good! The webmistress kind of turns the submitted fan fiction into an audio book. Crystal clear audio, a great selection of stories plus competitions and more and this is just in the first podcast! I'm not really into fan fiction but I still found this an enjoyable and high quality listen. Give it a go.

Those who have been in the Moonie community since the golden age (late 90s) will remember the classic site, SailorMoon.org that has been recently resurrected. Well now the great MoonGrams Sailor Moon themed newsletter has been revived as well! You can read the first of the new volume here and the second one here. Expect the third (for May) to be released any day now.

The always classy, Icera has revamped her Sailor Moon site review site, Star Garden Reviews into a general anime site review site called, Review Avenue. Check out the new layout, read the informative reviews and submit your site to receive some of the best useful and practical critique around.

Episode Guide Update

Just finished the guides for episodes 31: A Reluctant Princess and 32: Bad Hair Day and realised that I've been spelling "Interesting Facts" wrong in all of my episode guides. That's what I get for copying and pasting and possibly being dyslexic. :\

Hope you like them and more coming very soon.

Also I was wondering if you're into karaoke as I have some great Sailor Moon prizes that I've bought here in Japan and was thinking a karaoke contest would just rule.
