Men in Tights: Moonie Music Monday 

I love the movie Robin Hood - Men in Tights! It's definitely one of the funniest movies ever made and if you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend you to check it out.

Anyway, I randomly stumbled across this Sailor Moon music video set to the title song from that movie! It's obviously inspired by the Amazon Trio and since I'm almost finished with my Sailor Moon SuperS Episode Guide it seemed like an appropriate choice.

What do you think? lol!

New ANIMAX Sailor Moon Commercial! 

Was surfing around YouTube this morning and found this new commercial for Sailor Moon anime's return to Japanese tv!

What's really cool besides the remixing of the show's footage into a modern commercial is the fact that the original Japanese voice actress for Sailor Moon, Kotono Mitsuishi has recorded new lines for the commercial. For those that are interested she basically says that it's been long time since people had seen Sailor Moon and that everyone should watch the show or she'll punish us in the name of the Moon.

Sailor Moon Roundup 

Hey guys! Hope you had a great week! Got some Sailor Moon website news for you!

First up, the uber fantastic Fighter4Luv Fandub has released a cool preview of their fourth episode and uploaded a brand new look for their website! These guys kind of have me wishing Sailor Moon isn't redubbed as I don't think anything could be better then the job they're doing! Even so called "anti dub" Moonies seem to like their English dub!!!

This week's Moon Sticks has a really good Eco message.

StarDusting has some cool new media updates!

Was surfing around YouTube and found this amazing video of a Sailor Moon game I hadn't seen before. Searched and found you can download it here. Looks great!

Several new cool Sailor Moon related items have been released on Gaia Online. Pink and white odango hairstyles, white hair clips, new bows and more!

Sailor Moon starts it's long awaited reruns in Japan on the Animax Japan Network. If you're in Japan and have this channel make sure to watch it to support Sailor Moon!
Watching the show and buying merchandise is the only way to support it despite what others may say. Online surveys and email campaigns have as much chance of bringing back a tv show as lighting a candle and placing it in your window does of freeing Tibet.

Moon Collection has a cool retrospective post up. Some great unique content there.

Moon Raider: Moonie Music Monday 

Well last week I mentioned that I was looking for a different kind of video but found last week's video instead.

My original aim was to feature a Sailor Moon music video using Tomb Raider music! And I found one!

Sailor Moon Roundup 

What a week! On with the Sailor Moon news!

Neno Studios has updated a new behind the scenes video (which is very fun!) as well as a short scene preview of their upcoming Sailor Moon fan film!

Sailor Moon Abridged has uploaded a cool video of the cast in costumes here. Speaking of SMA, have you seen their hilarious latest episode yet?

Moon Sticks has this week's strip online! Starfighter fans rejoice!

Just found a very cool site called Manga Angels. Check it out!

A new chapter of the SuperS manga has been animated at the official site.

The entire Sailor Moon anime is now available to buy online and download to your computer as high quality WMV files via the Japanese site, Anime-BB!
Prices range from 336 Yen - 440 Yen per episode (about US/AU$4). You can find the series specific pages here: First Season, Sailor Moon R, Sailor Moon S, Sailor Moon SuperS and Sailor Moon Sailor Stars.
All files are naturally the Japanese version with no English subtitles but it's a great way to legally buy the series, is also a very convenient format for Sailor Moon music video makers and is the digitally remastered version that's currently only available on the Japanese DVDs!

Told you it's be soon! Just uploaded 12 more episode guides to the Sailor Moon SuperS Episode Guide!

Each guide is complete with an episode summary, screencaps, Monster of the Day information, attack and character info plus bonus trivia!

Only 49 episodes to go until the Sailor Moon Anime Guide is completed! (Been working on it for years which is why I'm excited!)

First of all I want to thank everyone who's following my Moonkitty.net Twitter account! In such a short time I've reached over 500 followers! Very cool guys & gals! PGSM Final Act: Moonie Music Monday 

With all this talk about the anime lately it's easy to forget about the other great versions of Sailor Moon such as the live action version which is why this week I've decided to feature a Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon music video!

This one is inspired by the epic PGSM Final Act against the beautiful song, Apologise by Timbaland featuring One Republic. This is the first time I've heard this song and love it!

The video has some very nice editing and doesn't rely on simply looping the transformations and attacks like all the other Sailor Moon videos out there. In fact I don't think it uses ANY stock footage at all!

Sailor Moon and Animo 

Some pretty big news today concerning the, what looks to be, return of Sailor Moon!

Almost immediately after the announcement that the rights to Sailor Moon have been released and that the show would once again be airing in Italy and Japan a press release was released announcing a brand new Sailor Moon mobile phone website for users in Japan.

The website offers Sailor Moon mobile phone ring tones (currently the Japanese theme, HEART MOVING and Sailor Star Song) as well as animated downloads and soon (not yet online) all 200 episodes of the anime for download to handsets.

If you have a phone that's web capable, you can check out the site at it's address: http://www.smoon.jp.

Some things worth mentioning is that in the footer of the page the PNP can be seen, showing that Naoko is still involved in the franchise and that there hasn't been any major change in ownership. It's also interesting to see that the Japanese logo for the series simply says "Sailor Moon". There is no mention of "Pretty Soldier", "Pretty Guardian", etc.

Possible re-branding of the series? It's possible (though by no means confirmed).

Have you seen this interview yet? It took place last week and features the Japanese voice actress of Sailor Moon. Most of it's just small talk though it mentions that besides Sailor Moon, her favourite characters are Sailor Uranus and Neptune because she feels the characters appeal to the adults who watch the show.

In site news, I've just added Sailor Moon television Air Times onto the right side navigation to make it easier for everyone to find out when Sailor Moon is returning and airing in their country. If your country isn't there yet, that means that there has yet to be any information it airing yet. If and when such info is announced I will of course add it.

Spanish Sailor Moon: Moonie Music Monday 

While searching around for a Sailor Moon music video set to You're Just My Love from the Japanese version of the anime I came across this video that features a Spanish Fandub's version of the song. The female singer, Anais Joseph-Monrose sings the song very well and is a perfect match for the original Japanese version. The male voice though, sung by Luis Silerio completely blew me away. Not only does he match the original song but he excels in several places, making this version pretty much an equal to the original and surpassing it in many ways!

I surfed around for more songs of his and found this rather unique video of a male duet to Moonlight Destiny!!!



I've wondered for a while how some of the Sailor Moon songs would sound sung by men and this is a great example of the potential some of the songs have!
