My Own Fashion Line! GLOMPED!!!

After hours of planning and designing I have finally realised an idea I and a few others had a few months ago; selling GLOMP to the world! Check out my own fashion label at www.GLOMPED.net and check out our cool clothes we have on offer! More are on thier way but that really depends on how well these ones sell.

Money raised from this store will go towards my stay in Japan and the maintenance of Moonkitty.NET so please consider it.

A New Sailormoon Musical Planned

Thanks to Macavity for posting the following information on the Genvids forums:

Not the biggest news in the world, and it likely only matter to 5 people or so on here, but the Sailor Moon musicals will apparently continue in the summer despite the the "Second Stage Final" being printed on the flyers which caused some speculation that the myu was going to end and/or a huge cast graduation would take place.

According to reports Galaxia said that the next goal was 1000 performances. (This was either the 777th show or they did the 777th show durring this run.)

Doesn't look like either has happened this go-'round. No clue yet on what the next myu will be. (But a caveat lector, this is all second hand info so it may be wrong.)

Gemini Update!

Second Presentation Scheduled
January 20, 2004
Happy new year, and Gemini/Tranquility enters year FIVE. ahem... ^.^

We will be making another presentation, but unfortunately we don't have enough time to complete a playable demo of the game, so we will be making some additional gameplay animations to include with the current Gemini Presentation. The new presentation may also include our broadcast-format prototype commercial for the retail product. This wasn't included in the original presentation. We would have liked to build a game prototype, but with the time available it didn't seem possible to do a very good job.

We're also going to update the credits sequence and add some additional special effects that we didn't have time to work on before. We have a great particle effects system which might improve the attack sequences and lighting somewhat.

If we can get some details on the actual licensing process at this presentation we will have more information on the donations program. It may turn out that we don't really need donations, since if we do have enough information, we can just proceed to the next step in financing the project.

Sounds great! All the best to them!

Learn Japanese!

Since I'm learning Japanese and I know many of our regulars are thinking about it or already trying themselves, I've decided to, each day, post one Japanese word or phrase and it's English equivalent. This will be basically a-word-a-day sort of lesson thing. Sounds fun, huh?

Since this is also part of myself teaching myself, words will be chosen from a list of ones I am having trouble remembering. Hopefully this method will prove helpful to those teaching themeselves in the future as this will help you learn the hard words first! The rest should be easy!

Today's word/phrase is: ban = number

Note: I am running this same idea on my personal blog; BradStephenson.com but with different words than Moonkitty.NET. So if you're willing to learn two Japanese words/phrases a day bookmark both of these sites and prepare to have your mind broadened!

Anime in Australia!

Well Australian fans of Card Captors and Pokemon will be pleased to know that Cheeze tv is now rescreening the first season of Card Captors at 7am weekdays and the fifth season of Pokemon at 8am, which will lead into the the new sixth season; Pokemon Advanced which features May from the Ruby and Sapphire games.

I know this isn't Sailormoon related but it is Australian Anime related and thought I'd share it.

On a side note, isn't it great that Dragonball Z has finally been taken off air. How many times did they repeat that series? Ten? Twenty???

Gemini (Sailormoon Computer Game) Update

I know this news is a bit old but with the new update system I can post it for all to see. The following is from the latest update on the Gemini Project's official site.

Gemini Project Update
December 26, 2003
Well, we didn't get the information we wanted, or from where we thought we would. However, we did find an answer to our question. Unfortunately, it supports the opposite position from the one we were told would be best for the Gemini Project.

So we're making a second presentation anyway. When all else fails, keep talking. :)

If we can get approval from this presentation, the project will go into "production" with a one-level playable prototype of the game, which we hope will help get the entire project approved. Since we have already completed 3D models of all nine senshi, we have already done quite a bit of the work. We will be ready to begin work on the level itself, special effects, music, cinematics and menus as soon as the design is ready.

The game design will take about a month to write, and won't include everything in the complete design. It will be just enough for one level, and probably just one character, unless we can modify the engine to use any of the nine senshi characters.

The prototype will probably be an indoor level, even though the game itself will include numerous outdoor environments. The engine we will probably use is actually very good at rendering outdoor game environments, so we might change to an outdoor level before we begin work. We'll probably use the same music we used in the demo animation.

If we do get approval for the next presentation, this page will begin redirecting to a new web site soon.
