Gemini Update!

A very generous update at the Gemini Project!

Gemini Project Update
February 10, 2004
We have been receiving a large amount of e-mail asking about updates to the page and information on the game, since we haven't updated in a couple of weeks. Yes, the project is still active.

There are some practical limits on what we can present at our next meeting about Gemini, so we have completed work on the presentation updates. It may not be necessary to make another presentation at all, as we might just begin discussions on approval for a game prototype. We may not need to present the animation again, since we presented it at our last meeting. The posterboard game box seemed to be more impressive anyway. Funny how that works. We spent five months on the animation and four days on the posterboard game box.

Basically, we're waiting for a response to our first presentation for the time being. If the response is favorable, then we will continue work with the prototype. Discussions should resume soon.

Until then, we're considering some kind of web site update to emphasize just how many people have contributed to this project, and how many people would like to see an English-language video game commercially available. It appears the donations program won't be necessary. So far the best idea we've had is to put up an icon for each survey response all on the same page (2900+ icons) each representing people who want to buy the game. There is also a survey section in the animation which we could convert and add to the page. It has quotes from some of the survey comments and the results (95% would buy the game, etc.), with "Hukkatu no Serenade" from "Sailor Moon R" playing in the background. Perhaps we could add some of the graphs from our written documentation from the presentation as well. It all depends on what the most practical presentation format is.

Ideas for this page are welcome . I think I can speak for our production house, representatives and company when I say we are literally exhausted. The amount of work people invested in this project, even though we all knew we might not be able to build the game, is really incredible.

But none of this would have been possible without our guests and the other sites that have generously promoted the Gemini Project. This page remains the second most popular on any of our sites by total pageviews. That's rather remarkable since this page isn't linked from any of our other sites.

We'll be publishing the survey results in our next update, along with some more information and ideas for the "we want to buy the game" page. Please e-mail if you have any comments or questions.
