Attention all Harry Potter fans (which I'm assuming would be a large percentage of you) J.K. Rowling in conjunction with Amazon.com is releasing a real copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard the book that was pivotal to the plot of the final Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!!!There'll be two versions released on the 4th of December 2008 (preorders now being taken!) a Standard Edition and a very cool Collector's Edition.
The Standard Edition features all five fairy tales from the original The Tales of Beedle the Bard, a new introduction by J.K. Rowling, illustrations reproduced from the original handcrafted book, and commentary on each of the tales by Professor Albus Dumbledore.
The Collector's Edition (which I'm so buying) is designed to evoke the spirit of the handcrafted original. It is housed in its own case (made to resemble a wizarding textbook found in the Hogwarts library). The Collector's Edition includes a reproduction of J.K. Rowling's handwritten introduction, as well as 10 additional illustrations not found in the Standard Edition. Opening the cover of the case reveals a velvet bag embroidered with J.K. Rowling's signature, in which sits the piece de resistance: your very own copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard, complete with metal skull, corners, and clasp; replica gemstones; and emerald ribbon.

In celebration of this release (and my Harry Potter geekiness) I'm dedicating this week's Moonie Music Monday to Harry Potter and Sailor Moon!
Doing a YouTube search I came across these two hillarious movie trailers that use the sound from the trailers of the first two Harry Potter movies and footage from the first two seasons of the Sailor Moon anime. Incredibly well timed and really hillarious. My personal favourite shot is the "Place your hand over the broom and say 'UP!'" "Up!" Haha. Enjoy!
